Why For The Pause Exists
I lived with endometriosis for most of my life, then in my early 40s I was diagnosed with Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and Adenomyosis. I had a total of 8 surgeries related to endometriosis, with the final 2 surgeries completing a total hysterectomy. The plunge in to menopause post hysterectomy was harder than I could have ever imagined. Luckily, I eventually found the right health professionals to get my health back on track, and I’m now enjoying every minute of menopause era.
My experience prompted me to learn everything I could about endo, peri & menopause. I’ve also studied psychology & wellbeing science, and am currently completing a degree in Mental Health & Neuroscience to help make sense of it all. So, I created For The Pause to share what I’ve learned because knowledge is power.
The purpose of For The Pause is to:
empower every person who wants to learn about endo, peri & menopause, and
advocate for positive change in workplaces and healthcare.
